Our Story
In 1932, Mr. B. E. Beneyfield began an innovative insulation contracting business in Philadelphia, Pa. eventually relocating his company and family to State College, where in 1960, he asked his new son-in-law Chuck Farrell, the husband of Connie to give up his high school teaching position and join him in the business. Chuck & Connie Farrell built upon the legacy of Mr. Beneyfield and have for the more than 50 years since established an impeccable reputation of integrity, quality, cutting edge technology, along with significant, lasting community service.
Since moving to State College in 1980, Perry and Jacque Babb and their sons, daughters, their spouses and growing extended family have been fortunate to established several non-profit local and international ministries and organizations as well as a family of businesses, the Keystone Family of Companies. Among these businesses is Keystone Building & Development Inc. managed by Ben Babb. In the summer of 2011, a friendship began between the Farrells and Babbs, which resulted in the acquisition of Beneyfield & Farrell under Keystone Building & Development. It is now Ben’s and the Babb family’s task to walk in the footsteps of Mr. Beneyfield and Mr. Farrell and carry on this multi-generational legacy of excellence.
Beneyfield, Farrell…..and now, Babb… is poised to provide many more decades of home and business energy efficiencies and comfort solutions to the Central Mountain region of Pennsylvania.

We hired Ben Babb and his employees to finish our basement. This consisted of framing, drywall, electric etc… Ben and his company did an amazing job. The construction was done quickly and efficiently and the work was 100% spot on. They were able to work so they did not affect my family and children, they were kind courteous and outgoing. Ben and his workers not only did an amazing job, they were able to spot and fix some other things in our home, they were not upselling or trying to build business, but they were family friendly, and it was done very professionally.
